ADI, Industrial Design Association, has awarded Sammi Export with the selection for the XX Compasso d’Oro Award. Sammi Export has received this acknowledgment for the hook series Proxima - sliding, open mouth, lace lock - zinc fusion alloy bound together with Nylon, conceived for the sports footwear industry and particularly the tracking sector. This accessories project, carried out by studiodsgn, focuses on functionality and ergonomics, improving lace sliding through rings, facilitating fastening and protecting laces from wearing. The Compasso d’Oro Award is the first and most prestigious European Award of the sector, instituted in 1954. Born from a Gio Ponti’s idea and thanks to Grandi Magazzini la Rinascente, it aims at highlighting Italian design quality. The objects that have been awarded and selected during more than 40 years of prizing are collected in the ADI Compasso d’Oro Historical Collection, by the Design and Furnishing Gallery of CLAC Centro Legno Arredo in Cantù.

Grandesign, event dedicated to design connected with research and production, has selected Sammi Export for the International Grandesign Award, that every year is conferred to products showing performance excellence, innovation and market success. Sammi export, leader in the footwear accessories production, has received this acknowledgment for the collection carried out by Giugiaro Design, particularly the hook series which for innovation and originality, simplicity of use and aesthetic quality, was enthusiastically recognized in the footwear sector. Thanks to a strong market leadership, gained through the technological characteristics of its products, Sammi Export has reached an excellent reputation also in the fashion sector. Since 1997 it has collaborated with Giugiaro Design, either for the fashion items design or the conception of innovative technical products. With its more than three thousand catalogue products and 30 year’s experience, Sammi Export production varies from big production items to limited once tailored for famous girffes, technical item for specialized industry, or customized once.
